The Russian invasion of Georgia, has brought back many of the ghosts of the Cold War. Some even think that recent events (US Missile Sites in Poland, Russia resuming strategic bomber flights, Russian invasion of Georgia, etc.) are a harbinger of a new Cold War. What do you guys think?

This Cold War thing is something similar to Orwell's wars between Eurasia, Eastasia and Oceania... Don't you think?..
Could it be at least somehow beneficial for politics to hold people in constant fear for the future?
Somehow, such apocalyptic mindset has been ruling people for centuries, and today is no different.
